Sephora Haul

Fun fact: My financial Achilles’ heel are beauty products. I’m a Sephora VIB (only $77 away from VIB Rouge.. it will happen soon!) and I just bought a 5 drawer rolling cart for my makeup storage which is almost completely full. I don’t believe it makes me go from a 2 to a 10, because let’s be honest I’m a solid 5-6 with and without makeup. I was never the girliest girl growing up but the act of putting on my makeup every day makes me so happy and calm. Yes, even when I’m doing a cat-eye. #stressful 🙂

So to justify my Sephora purchases, I figured if I posted them on here and maybe inspire some purchases for you? I don’t know. Just look at the pretty makeup and stuff I bought!

Boscia Makeup Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil – All of the beauty YouTubers sing the praises of this stuff so I figured I’d give it a shot. This is supposed to take off all your makeup, even breakup waterproof mascara – I’ll have to test it out for a bit before I sign it’s praises.

Sephora Collection IT Palette – Did I really need another eyeshadow palette? No, not really. But this one is pretty, with colors I don’t normally have or apply (purple and army green? Sure, I like a challenge!) AND it was on sale, AND it comes with eyeliner and a dual ended brush, so a total win-win.

Murad Perfectly Ageless Skin Renewing 500 Point Perk – Okay, this one is a bit of a tease because you can only get this set if you’re a Beauty Insider with 500+ points but I know you can buy the full sized versions of these separately.
While I do have a ton of makeup, I haven’t invested heavily in my skincare routine, which I know is opposite of what you should do. I definitely feel like I’m at mid-level with it though because I do have a cleanser (Cetaphil is seriously the best stuff ever, it cleared my skin up so much a few years ago!), a solid mud mask, an overnight oil and a moisturizer. But I never use all of those regularly and I’m definitely neglecting any eye creams – I know, I’m only 25 so I shouldn’t worry about it yet but this is the age TO focus on this stuff. Anyways. Like everything else here, I will test and report back.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara – Another product talked about a lot in the beauty world, but I’ve heard mixed reviews. Some people say the formula and wand are excellent, others say it’s crappy and gimmicky. I usually go for the fluffy wand mascaras (L’Oreal Voluminous Waterproof, Urban Decay Perversion) and not the plastic spikey ones, which the Roller Lash has but I’ll test it out and see.

Formula X Nail Polishes – As I type this, I realize this entire post is influenced by beauty YouTubers. But the reviews on the Formula X line say they’re really good shades and they’re pretty long lasting. I’m going to do Danger Zone on my nails first and I’ll report back.

Are there any beauty products you’ve been loving? Anything I need to try out? I’m always down to buy something…. for science. 🙂
